Are there different sizes?

Each garment comes in one size, which is meant to fit most adolescents and adults (and is cute as a slouchy hat on Amanda's toddler son). The fit will vary slightly from each person. We design and size our garments to fit with a mild compression so that the beanie does not slip and that it is not overly porous, but to be loose enough that it is breathable and comfortable to wear over long stretches of time to help prevent hat hair or dreaded ribbing marks around the forehead.

Can I wash my beanie?

Yes . Our wool is all washable. However, I would wash and dry mindfully. Each beanie comes pre-washed, which is done right after manufacturing. This post-production wash removes excess oils and also supports the integration and bonding of the fiber and synthetic materials. We package the beanies directly after this manufacturing process, so the hat is clean when it arrives to you - not sitting on a shelf and exposed. We use the highest quality wool that has a treatment which serves performance functionality and supports washablility. Over time the garment may get dirty, stretch, or pill lightly. Washing the garment will help, and we recommend hand washing or handling through a cold gentle cycle and laying the garment flat to dry or on very low heat.

What is so special about WHOLEGARMENT®?

WHOLEGARMENT® knitting is a process of knitting in a tubular, 3D manner. The product is knit in it’s entirety, resulting in a higher quality product that has no seams. Since there is no cutting or sewing involved in fashioning of the product, the process does not result in the high wastage typical of knitting and fashioning. Standard cut-and-sew knit manufacturing can result in 15-30% fabric waste versus less than 1% wastage produced by WHOLEGARMENT® knitting.

Do you have other products?

Additional products are in the works for this product-line, including headbands, winter apparel, and a small-batch luxury line. We have plans for a second product-line to utilize our patent pending technique and other high-performance fiber innovations.

As we build our business and capacity, we will offer additional color combinations, designs, shapes, and weights to cover many needs, shapes, and styles.
